I honestly believe that love can fade over time, along with the feelings that go with it. I believe it is entirely possible to get bored with a person as well. It is my opinion that when those things happen, it is a sign that the relationship has run it's course, and that it is time to find someone else. I think this is why so many marriages fail, because two people were never really meant to be together for life. That is why I will never be married. Who else feels the same way?

Amen poster!!!

people who rekindle or try to rekindle the relationship are either too clingy or too needy on the other person to start out with someone new. it's a sad state of affairs when you try to rekindle a love thats gone with someone who hurt you. whats that saying about your self esteem???

the shorter version of my answer is................................

BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET OVER IT!!!!

You're probably going to be shocked, but I agree with you. My philosophy is if it's broken, just buy a new one...lol. Why beat a dead horse? If you aren't compatible, you won't be six months down the road. People don't change....often. I never say never, but I would probably NOT rekindle an old romance. Actually, none of mine were worth going back to anyway. You know my taste in men....lol.

2 people decide to marry because they love each other. Marriages fail when people don't work on it. A good relationship doesn't have run it's course if you keep it alive. Think of a fire; It's going to burn until the fuel begins to deplete. That is when you have to work on it, add something and fan the flames to keep it going.......like love.

Been here this long & I like it hot in my home, so I put another log on the fire this morning. Just called the flower shop & I'm getting out the barbeque & a bottle of wine, she has no clue I'm cleaning the house today & cookin dinner, then I'll get some movies & snacks for later.

Totally agree with you, some things are made to last and some things are not...if it is not you should not try and make something of it when there is nothing left to make of it...
