Religion as practised by people tend to increase hate and enmity amongs us. But spirituality as propounded in sahaj marg give us a clear understanding that it binds and unites people.

Not exactly... defining yourself, or others by religion will devide. TO define something means to seperate it from everything else.
If ones religions beleifs are that we are all the same, even those who AREN'T in belief of ones religion.... then the religion UNIFIES. Spirituality is, however undefined... and usually comes in a form OF religion.

Definitely vested interests misuse the religions and create hatreds among huminity but spirituality make them together

Religion is interpretation of God by prophets(gurus)
Spirituality is interpretation of God by your Conscience(the live spark of Divinity within each of us) Its Universal .

I think it is the opposite, Jesus did not unite, He started a whole new concept and they killed Him for it. Jesus taught that "if they persecuted Me they will persecute you also". Truth has never been accepted, always rejected because Jesus taught that man rejects the truth because "his deeds are evil". Jesus said. "34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
