If you are talking about a US non-immigrant visa for the dependent of a foreign student, it looks the same as any other US non-immigrant visa, but with the proper categories and annotations. If you were entitled to one, you would have it to look at.

It looks like a residence permit for a person, related to the student by family tie - this is when the student him/herself has a residence permit to the country. And its a sticker in the dependent's passport.
