I've got a prescription for Midrin, but I try not to take it unless nothing else works. My first line of defense is usually a homeopathic herb called Nux Vomica. I also keep Stanback or Goody's headache powders on hand just in case. Check out the link below for info on Nux Vomica. Best wishes finding relief!

For me, a dark room, a cool cloth on my head, ibprofien ( its the only thing that works for me) and a nice nap. temple massages help too. I take a preventitive med and also have one for when I feel a migraine coming on. Ask your doc about these. Good luck

what works for me the best (at least most of the time) is taking a tablet called syndol, then lying down for about 15 to 30 minutes in a cool dark room. dont know where you are located as to wether or not you can find syndol or not. here in europe its an over the counter pill, it contains 450mg paracetamol, 10mg codeine, and 30mg caffeine as the active ingredients. hope you can locate it and that it works for you.

I usually take asprin or Ibuprofen as soon as I start seeing the spots, after that the only thing that helps is to sleep it off for me. I'm interested if someone else can reccommend something better.

half a potato on your head in a dark room for half an hour - apart from that just lots of water and rest.
