I was Christened when I was a baby. I Own a copy of the bible.
& I got grade A in RE GCSE.

However, some lass says I'm not a Christian because it wasn't my choice to get Christened & I don't go to the Christian group she goes to.

I personally think the group is just brainwashing its followers & trying to make them feel valued & have a desire to stay in the group. She also thinks I'm not a Christian because when I sin I don't say I'm really sorry to God. I'm C of E so arn't I automatically forgiven, i don't need to confess...

If I had 'A' level physics, would that make me a physicist?
As a member of the Church of England, you are not automatically forgiven. What gave you that idea? If you are confirmed and attend Mass or Communion in the Anglican Church, then before taking the sacrament there is a prayer of general confession, which is muttered by the whole congregation.This is followed by absolution declared by the priest.
My father was an Anglican priest, but I never once heard him say that he was a Christian. He did say that every day he strove towards being a Christian.

The definition of a Christian is a person who imitates Jesus Christ and obeys his teachings and commandments.

There are true Christians and false ones (MATTHEW 7:21-23)
The only way we can imitate & follow him is to read the Scriptures.
For example: - he commands his followers to "go and make disciples of all the nations" & to teach them
(MATTHEW 28:19,20)
Are you doing that?

If you are - then you are a Christian

(simply confessing to God is not the answer - you need to learn the truth through accurate knowledge only found in the scriptures & then apply what you learn in your life)

I would be more than happy to help you look into the scriptures using your own copy of the Bible :)

A christian is not defined by what they don't do. You are a christian only if you have realised you are a sinner, repented of your sins and given your life to Jesus as your saviour and Lord. A natural outcome of this, when you recieve the gift of the Holy Spirit, is that you will begin to feel different inside, and you will suddenly want to seek the company of other Christians. Becoming a Christian is a personal decision, one I only made when I met with Jesus for myself, and I wasn't a church goer, never been christened, and wasn't raised in any faith. For anyone looking to find out more about the christian faith, and how exciting it is to hang out with a guy who heals the sick and changes hearts, check out this link to alpha courses, it's not threatening but it's very informative

Being a Christian is about believing in, and accepting Jesus into your life, and trying to follow his example.

Everyone sins, and true Christians believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins on the cross, but that you have to repent of them first (not just Catholics...All christian denominations), and that involves saying sorry for them in prayer. You don't have to go to a Christian group for this....Just pray at home.

Not everyone who goes to church every week is a true Christian, but there are many true Christians who don't go to church

Being Christened as a baby and owning a copy of the bible does not make you a Christian (follower of christ)!

My understanding is that those who seek supernatural beings as their creator and protector may go to heaven, even if they don’t conclude that God exists. Presumably, God in Christian understanding mean super-human intelligence and personality with specific attributes, as being omnipotent, omniscient, omnibeneficient, omnipresent, etc therefore the physical actions may not matter much but your relationship with your creator/protector. This indicates that even some Agnostics and Atheists will definately go to heaven, if they sincerely sought and acknowledges the existence of the supernatural being. It also implies that many Buddhists who follow traditions that have no concept of such a deity will get automatic visa to heaven.

Whether Christian or not what matters is the evalasting happiness, that goes beyond the physical world. There are so many theories to attain this in which Christianity is just one of them and I think this way, in so far as your actions doesn't conflict with your conscience then you are happy, maintain it for this is heaven for you. You don't need to proclain I am born again or be shy because you are convince that you are in the presence of your protector or God.

A Christian is not a person that is born to Christian parents, or is Christened, or attends church or Christian group, but one who accepts Jesus Christ as saviour.

The Bible sums it up like this.

"He (Jesus) was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognise him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God." John 1:10 - 13 NIV

Again John 3:16 NIV promises

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

A true Christian doesn't need a group. If she's a true Christian, she'd **** off to Africa for herself and help her Gods children. She is certainly brainwashed, because she believes that she deserving of god's mercy just by standing under the title of "Christian". It's a disorder if you ask me. Saying you are Christian and not actually doing any of the things that will make you Christian doesn't mean that you are.

well, if you have a group that you go to, then there is no reason for that someone to tell you your not a christian and if you believe in God with all you mind body and soul then heaven is even you and the good thing of this world and a christian is someone that behave like christ that is the meaning of christian but when you sin you have to confess your sin, is like you are in a hopital and you are expecting the doc tor to know everything. God is the all knowing God but because he has given us the power of choice we have to decide that we wont to be forgiven, he has just establish that he wants us to be save and he will come knocking but it is still up to you to choice so you have to tell him that you have sinned (and so have i), so he can confirm it and then kick in the forgiveness of our sins. keep praying and God will not depart from you (please dont forget to pray for me too please lol) God be with you

Don't worry too much what some people may say. Look inside your heart. God is love. There is no need to be brainwashed by any group.
Who is "SHE" to judge you anyway. What ever choices you make in your life is between you & God. And God is very loving & very forgiving. Trust me. "Judging" others is not part of what Christianity is teaching. The most important rules in life are:
Do not worry;
Do not judge;
Do not complain;
May God Bless you!

God bless you, child. Do you believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, born of a virgin, died on the cross as payment for sins of the world and rose on the third day? Do you accept that Christ died for YOUR sin? Do you have a personal relationship with Christ as your savior? Have you ever said a prayer asking His forgiveness and making Him Lord of your life? Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to guide you as you read your Bible. Whether you are a Christian or not is between you and the Lord.
