We recently visited Monmouth for a morning while on holiday in Ross-on-Wye. It seemed like a very pleasant town, quite a few nice old buildings in the town centre, and it's got a Waitrose so there's obviously a bit of money there ;-).

I imagine you probably want info from someone who's spent more than 4 hours there, though!

For a start its IN Wales, its got a nice bridge which crosses the river Wye, It has a high street, a supermarket, and a marketplace.
Its ok as long as you don't want to do much apart from travel to Symonds Yat and play on the rapids.
