She's better than him in education degree, wealth, looks, earnings (she earns 4x his salary). They have been dating for 11 months, then she broke up with him because she thinks he couldn't keep up with her. He loves her very much so he keeps on trying to win her back. She loves him too but she thinks too much (about the future). She's 28, he's 29. She knows she loves him but just couldn't say yes to him again. Now she's very confused of what she wants and she blames herself for not knowing what she wants. So what advice should I give her?

Hey There,

I just broke up with my boyfriend and we had a similar story. Our families are completely different, I am more well off than he is..the whole thing. I did a lot of over thinking too and I realised its not worth continuing if I have to stress thinking about it all the time.

Things worked for a while but then he also realised he wont be able to ever match up to me and that turned him very hostile. He fought for me a lot earlier and then he changed because he felt like it would never work out for real with all the differences and he was very mean towards the end.

I think you should tell your friend to take her time, take a clean break and really decide what she wants. Tell her its a good thing she broke up because if she's thinking so much its probably because she feels that there is someone better out there and its probably the case.

Also the guy would have changed one day or the other because he would eventually get tired of fighting for her and face reality...so tell her she has successfully avoided a major dissapointment/heartbreak.

Shes young and if she has so much going on for her..good education, good job she should just focus on her "confusion" to sort things out in her head (perhaps write) and trust that when she meets the right guy she wont be questioning everything!

Hope shes feeling better! Tell her out of everything in this world she should definetly not be feeling guilty!

First of all.... Love is a Principle NOT an Emotion! Therefore love is not boastful, proud or anythin of the sort, it endures alllllllllll things and hopes for all things.. So hey maybe your friend is a little confused about what love is and what she is truly feeling for this guy. Maybe she needs to re-evaluate that before going back to play with his heart.

I would ask your friend why she cares so much about material things.

So what if he doesn't make as much money as she does, or doesn't have as much education, or is "uglier" than her...
If she loves him, and he loves her and treats her good, she should be thankful she found such a good man that strives to be better for her!

If he doesn't treat her good, then it's time she shoudl rethink the relationship.

True love doesn't follow after who is rich or poor, it doesn't recognize colour, race, level of education etc. So if your friend still love and care about this guy, advise her to go back to him.
