A violent militant group calling themselves the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) are waging a terrorist campaign in Sri Lanka in order to create a separate state. The LTTE, while masquerading as a liberation organisation, has for almost a quarter century spurned all efforts at securing peace and continued a sustained campaign of terrorism against successive democratically elected governments and civilians of Sri Lanka. People from all ethnic communities - Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims - have been the victims of this terror. The LTTE is now banned in Sri Lanka, India, the United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada and Malaysia. Other countries are expected to ban the LTTE soon following the events of September 11 2001, when the world woke up to the reality of international terrorism.
The gruesome brutality and wanton destruction that the LTTE has unleashed in its campaign to create a separate Tamil Only state in Sri Lanka is sustained by funds generated abroad by extortion from Tamil expatriates, and from trade in arms, narcotic trafficking, smuggling of illegal immigrants and money laundering.

By showing these pictures we try to draw your attention to a situation which will prevail if the peace loving people of the world continue to remain silent and unconcerned.
The U.S Government made the following statement while banning the LTTE and all its fund raising activities from its soil:
"The steps we are taking today of cracking down on fund raising for terror and of banning terrorists from our shores are steps we urge other countries to take within their jurisdiction. By steadily reducing the habitat in which terrorism thrives, we can hope to make terrorists first an endangered species, and ultimately, an extinct one"

The Tamil National Army also known as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were formed after the failure of many years of peaceful demonstration by Tamil leaders in order to win their freedom from the successive Sinhala majority governments, which showed no concern for the Tamil grievances. Under the leadership of Mr. Velupillai Pirabakaran, the LTTE was founded on May 5, 1976 to achieve what had become unachievable by peaceful methods in over 28 years.
Since then, the LTTE has grown out to be a massive army with the whole hearted support of the Tamil people and now has thousand of brave soldiers, with a Naval wing that has become a formidable one in the sub continent. And as the racist policies of the successive Sinhala governments subjects the Tamil civilians to more and more hard ships, the LTTE has become the army that the Tamil people can look up to in order to put an end to all the troubles and win back the Tamil's homeland, Tamil Eelam.

The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), also known as the Tamil Tigers, is a politico-military organisation that has been waging a secessionist campaign against the Sri Lankan government since the 1970s in order to secure a separate state for the Tamil majority regions in the North and East of Sri Lanka. Supporters of the LTTE refer to them as freedom fighters.LTTE are the organisation figthing for Independence state in Sri Lanka called "EELAM". They are the one which assassinate Late Rajiv Gandhi through a human suicide.
Yes, it is true they do carry suicide attacked and their cadre which perfom such attach are called Black Tiger and Black Tigress.

Look up The Tamil Tigers, that will help, and yes they have a long standing stance of terrorism in their own country, they want a Tamil State in Sri Lanka.

It's true. They are the Inventor of suicide attacks. The most notorius was the one that killed Rajiv Gandhi. It was a woman suicide bomber. India severed ties with LTTE because of it.
The Palestinian and others are the copycats.
That's all I know.
