My conscience tells me this world belongs to all of us, cats, dogs, snakes, worms, HIV, plants and even stones. For me, world is not anthropocentric, and for the same reason killing a human being or a chicken doesnt make difference. I am not arguing killing as an act is immoral, but if you stick on the idea that killing a human is crime, a cow slaughter is crime too.

I agree with the opinion of person above me. Yes yes, Christians sucks, actually bible has no moral justifications about why not to follow a commandment included in the genesis itself, the 5th.

In my opinion, human can do anything that he/she wish, let her eat veggies, cows or another human. THIS IS NATURE, lets live in its pace.

And again, get lost all those ugly religious faiths which affirm superiority of human beings and "bite tail of themselves"

not just christians...i'm pretty sure there are alot more religions out there that don't believe that either... cavemen killed animals for food way back in prehistoric age and they didn't think it was unethical... of course there were no religions back then either. If a cow is killed i don't see other cows going after the butcher, but if a human is killed we go after the killer. It's all about intelligence...lower forms of life are deemed to the lower level of the food chain. It's like saying eating an ear of corn is unethical becuase it's a living plant, that's just stupid. If i pick a flower does that make me a murderer? I think not. (btw i'm not christian i'm agnostic, i don't believe in religion, only evolution).

If you believe this.... what do you eat to stay alive? Everything we eat was living at one point in time. I guess that makes us all murderers, we're all going to hell. :)

You don'tou need protein in your diet, u can get it in some other form but meat is the best source of it. You don't have to eat it, stick to what you believe, if your muslim and don't eat pork its ok for me.You are not me and im not you, why can't just be get along?

( confident Patrick, use your immmmaginaaation...) i do no longer hate meat.. meat has finished no longer something incorrect for me to hate it...

Are you serious?

Lets take your logic and run with it. This world belongs to everything. So, if killing anything is a crime, then killing a carrot would be punishable by law, then what would we eat? How would we survive?

christians do not find such things unethical, beacuse god asked abraham to slaughter & offer sacrifice. Moses & his followers sacrificed lambs/goats during passover & ate meat. christians are people who kill animals & birds & eat them. They are not vegetarians. Even in the old testament, people sacrificed cows & bulls & feasted on them. No where in the bible it says that you should n't eat birds & animals.

I don't think of killing people as a crime. There are many reasons to kill people. Personally I usually try to wait till they are going to try to kill me.

The bible says it is ok to eat animals of certain criteria. Fish must have scales and fins, animals with cloven hoofs.
