Mormon is a colloquial term used to refer to adherents of the Latter Day Saint movement, and most commonly to the movement's original and largest group, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The term is derived from The Book of Mormon, a religious text that, according to Mormon belief, Joseph Smith, Jr. translated from ancient plates containing a history of the early inhabitants of the Americas that was compiled by a prophet called Mormon. Although many people identify the Latter Day Saint movement as a denomination of Protestantism, Mormons do not consider themselves to be Protestants and do not recognize themselves as part of any larger branch of Christanity, but do consider themselves devout Christians (see Mormon.org ) and believe The Book of Mormon to be "Another Testament of Jesus Christ".

Stay away as they are a cult, not christian. They will say they believe in Jesus but that is only to get you in. Then you may find out what they really believe in. Jesus and Satan were brothers. Their prophets are the word they believe in not Jesus, it goes on and on.. They have new scriptures every year and the book of Mormon goes on and on with each new prophet.

Joseph Smith Jr, (1805-1844) founder. Headquarter in Salt lake City, Utah. There Book is "The Book of Mormom,:Doctrine and Covenants; Pearl of Great Price; The Bible (King James Version Only or Smith's "insirped version") authoritative teachings of Morman prophets and other LDS (Latter Day Saints) "general authoritivies".
The God> God the Father was once a man, but "progressed" to godhood. He has a physical body, as does his wife (heavenly Mother), No trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are the 3 seperate gods. Worthy men may one day become gods themselves.
Jesus to LDS>Jesus is a seperate god from the father (Elohim). He was created as a spirit child by the father and mother on Heaven, and is the "elder brother" of all men and spirit beings. His body was created through sexual union between Elohim and Mary. Jesus was married. His death on the cross does not provide full atonemement for sin, but does provide everyone with resurrection.
Holy Spirit for LDS> The Holy Spirit is different from the holy ghost. The holy spirit is NOT GOD, but is an influence or electricity-like emanation from God or light of Christ.
Salvation of LDS> Resrrected by grace, but saved (exalted to godhood) by works, including faithfulness to church leaders, Mormon baptism, tithing, ordintion, marriage, and secret temple rituals. No eternal life without Morman membership.
Death of LDS> Evenually nearly everyony goes to one of three seperate heavenally "kingdoms", with some achieving godhead. Apostates and murders go to "outer darkness".
Other belierfs>No alcochol, tobacco, coffee or tea. Babtism on behalf of the dead. Two-year missionary commitment encouraged. Door-to-door proselytizing. Secret temple available on to members in good standing. Extensive social network. People of African ancestry were not granted full access to Morman preisthood and privileges until 1978.
I am not a Morman (Or Latter-day Saint), I don't believe in this belief just to make this clear. I study religions and I have a degree in Religion.

Go to a Mormon church. They will be happy to fill you in.
There was a really good episode about them on South Park. Summed it all up nicely and entertaining too.
Because of Revelations 22, they did not add to or alter the Bible but their prophet John Smith wrote the Book of Mormon, which they follow in addition to the Bible.

Revelation 22:18,19: For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
The Book of Revelation is so obviously the splendid crown, the supreme final conclusion, the grand finale to the written Word of God. All the great themes that arise and magnificently weave their way through the pages of the Bible find their ultimate satisfaction and lovely harmonious conclusion
********The Old Testament condemmed everyone to death*******
***The New Testament Gave everyone a chance at eternal life***
No need for a new covenant
