I think to make a good impression would he to ask maybe some questions, say how nice they look, smile, flirt, and just take it easy. Let her talk if she wants to but you can encourage her with a few questions. If you have something in common, then that would be a good start for conversation. Be polite and mannerly, that is a big plus, and keep it up too. Keep in touch, don't act too pushy, but call and ask how she is, and if you could see her again, etc. Don't talk about yourself all the time, encourage her to have some input, and look her in the eyes and listen. Act like you are really interested in what she says. You have to figure out what you are going to talk about, but you just start out over simple things. Don't get too personal on the first date. If she acts like she would like you to call her, or even kiss her a goodnight kiss, just play it by ear.

Listen to her. Don't do all the talking or she'll drown in her soup. Don't try to impress her - be yourself. She's going out with you isn't she? She's already impressed. If you overdo it, she'll think you're a jerk.

Prepare some little present for her.. flowers or something else that she'll like.
