It would help but science can't even prove science so it's going to be awhile.

It depends on what you understand by a scientific basis. Neither creationism nor evolution can be proved empirically, because they cannot be reproduced in laboratory conditions, of course. However the proponents of each view find facts of nature that seem to validate their point of view. In the end, however, whichever point of view you choose has to be accepted by faith. The reason for scientific creationist studies is simply to be able to point out that creationism does not contradict known scientific facts. That has been done quite effectively. However man has not changed much since the Middle Ages: if you don't happen to share the view of the majority, then you are a dangerous fool, and should be silenced. Too much of the creationism/evolution argument has involved more anger than scientific debate.

Scientific basis is not required.
Logical connectivity is required. Creationism doesn't invite logic or entertain questions. It sermons, and listens to sermons. There is no dialogue of equals in creationisms. Snubbing logic is creationism or religion's only defence. Creationism can't stand the logic. It just preaches, prophesizes, and dictates.
Humans need to understand the existence - in order to live right. This explanation has to be logical - otherwise it implies living in conflict. Being conflict-free and happy - is innate to humans. Creationists are not conflict-free and are not happy - because they haven't got answers, and they don't want questions. Creationists claim everything is in, from, for God - and God is mysterious. Every creationist has his own mysterious story to tell. Creationists fight to defend their own mysteries.
Science invited logic. But it could not connect logic with reason. So it started doing logic for its own sake. Logic for its own sake doesn't serve 'purpose' of human - which is happiness and being resolved.
Logic and Reason both are needed for human being to be satisfied. Logic which is aligned with Reason. And Reason that is logical. Only that can satisfy a human being - and ensure happiness and order in human-race.

It doesn't. It is only required by those who don't want to be saddled with teaching their children about the Bible, and creation. They would rather someone else do it. The churches are failing in their efforts to take over teaching the children what the parents should be doing themselves, so now the parents want the schools to do it. I taught my children, and help my daughters teach their children. We teach them the Bible as a whole, and not the sum of its parts, or simply Bible stories. We also let them learn about Evolution in schools, because we have nothing to fear from it. Those that don't teach their children, at home, about the Bible and creation, have the most to fear of their children switching to the belief of evolution.

Not until man evolved enough to build instruments to try and figure out how creation was done.
