I don't think it's a gift from God.
It is an undeniable advantage in terms of quality of life and social mobility.
Much like striking good looks or being born into a rich family, it is just the luck of the draw.

No...probably a bigger challenge given the crap government, bad healthcare for the poor homeless, scary weather patterns and terrorists wanting a piece of you'all. I'd rather live somewhere reasonably peaceful. At least the multicultural aspect of your available food makes up for the bad stuff I guess.
