Get a lawyer and get a divorce. Foreigners who are abused by their US citizen spouses are protected by the law too. I have seen and read numerous articles on the subject. Get to work and get out of that situation.

You should see law inforcement about this! She has no power to deport you. If you're already married and you have legal status in USA, then it's just too bad for her! Leave her, move on with your life, and she'll probably have to support you for a year or so if she agreed to sponsor you into the country!

LOL! Sounds like one of those stories! Thought African men are always dominant over women, oh! is it just african women? LOL! Really sorry you can't have your way with American women. How about I tell your wife you're seeking help on yahoo? Don't be scared! To answer your question honestly, I think your "wife" has seen some indications that all you're after and probably the main reason you married her is to use her. Do you need documents to allow you to stay in the United States? Then you have no alternative other than to be "obedient" to your mistress and quit doing things she doesn't want you to do. I'm sure if she finds out you're seeking help on yahoo she would ban you from using a computer (Like she banned you from calling Africa). LOL! funny! Sounds more like you're under bondage to me than in a marriage. If you really don't have any hidden agenda, rebel against her (master) and you can call Africa then, and no more threat of deportation.

Sorry to hear.... try talking to INS, immigration lawyers, even stopping by the police department, as mental abuse is a form of domestic abuse. Unfortunately, if you have been married for less than a year you may lose your citizenship, but it shouldn't stop you from looking into it. Good luck!

This type of domestic terrorism is not legal in the US.There are many groups that can help your wife to stop or curtail this abuse. If she refuses to seek help there are laws to protect you.You can look in the yellow pages for phone numbers of the support groups for yourself. There are many men in many country's that are verbally abused as well as physically abused throughout the world.no one has the right to cause you emotional or physical pain. Please seek help from your local law enforcement agency.Good luck to you,I hope she will seek help on her on,but i doubt it,so help yourself.

I have got a station with my wife. After we have got married she has been abused me physically. Since we found out she is bipolar things getting worse and worse. She had been admitted at mental hospital couple of time and stated that she abused me physically. I had been trying to really hard to work on it since I love her so much. We have been married for 6 months and I just got my work permission recently and not permanent resident or is citizen. Recently we had huge argument about our marriage and everything. She kicked me out from the house and told me she needs space. And I started living with my friend temporally. Couple of days ago she got sick since she had the gastrick bypass surgery and told me to come over because she feels sick and lonely. And I took her to the hospital and stayed couple of days with her. On October 2nd she woke me up on the morning and told me to leave the house again. I did left. And we had a huge argument through the text and I told her she cannot do that since I do have the rights to stay home. And night I had a little problem to stay with me friend so I had to take my stuff and go back to house again. She wasn't home that time and I have and I have tried let her know that I was coming back since I didn't have any place to go. But my phone was dead. So I headed to the house and bought a birthday cake and waiting for her. And we were having argument through the text that why I came to house. She wanted me to leave. And I didn't. After 5 mins she came home with her friend and her husband. And started hitting me. I grabbed her arms for self defense and tried to calm her down but she went worse. She told me to let her go and I did then she stared hitting me again. Then I grabbed her and telling her to calm down so she won't get hurt. The. She bite my arm twice and made me injure. After that her friends husband came inside of the house and told me to let her go and I told him this is in between e and my wife's issue so he needs to get out of the house . But he didn't and he grabbed by neck and I was chocking the. Let me wife go then my wife started punching my nose and and bleed me. And left the house . I was bleeding so bad and call the cops. Cops came and put both of them in the car. I felt bad for my wife and didn't want her to go to jail since I know she is sick mentally. I didn't press charges against her. Then cops talked to them and my wife did press charges against me for assault. And cops took me in jail. And she also put restraining order against me. My uncle paid $2500 bond and bailed me out the next day. Now I m totally helpless and don't know what to do. I do have a court date on Monday. I still havnt press charges against her. So please tell me what can I do for survive?
