Would you ask a normal friend to move overseas with you? When I asked him to give me good reasons, he was not being direct. How do I extract a confession out of him?

None of my friends are normal so I'm not sure how you talk to a normal one.

by a normal friend you mean platonic yeah?

he's either afraid to go by himself and needs you for support.

he's keen on you and thinks this is the way to show it and win you over.

he's strange and doesn't really have a good way about him.

how to get the truth, just ask him and make him know that you can't do anything such as move overseas unless you know all the facts. it sounds like you're interested anyway, so why best to get some info before making the move.

It doesn't necessarily mean he wants your body or is obsessed with you or anything. He may just be scared to make a move like that on his own. He may think that you might want the same opportunity that he is following. My brother asks me all the time if I would consider teaching overseas because that's what he does. He knows that even if I would, I wouldn't live in the same city and likely not even the same country but it makes him happy so he thinks it would make me happy.
