The Shroud of Turin, resurrection, the sun appearing to stand still - how is science ever going to explain these things ? Is it going to simply label miracles as fake because some cannot explain it ?

Evidence is that Shroud ‘is Christ’s burial cloth’

8 October, 2006

BEYOND SCIENTIFIC REASON: John Della Bosca (left) and author-researcher Brendan Whiting at the launch of The Shroud Story.

THE most likely explanation for the Shroud of Turin is that “it is in fact the burial cloth of Jesus Christ”.

Launching the newest book on the subject, The Shroud Story, NSW Minister for Commerce John Della Bosca said that any reasonable inference based on available evidence as detailed in the book, points to this explanation.

“It’s an historical account of the cloth’s location and custodianship over 2000 years and it’s about the Shroud as an object of scientific study, political scrutiny and as a symbol of our Christian faith,” he said at the launch in the theatrette

I thought some had said that it had been scientifically debunked...

what I've read seems like one of those things where the scientists can't decide which way is up. you know, like salt being good or bad for you? one time one scientist says one way, then one says the other, then another says the other way.... ect.

I think I remember one that theorized that it seemed real, but the only way it could have been made at that time, was a radiation of a certain variety of light, or radiation or something like that from the center, or something to that effect.

actually to the core question, some of the things I've read that they are finding with some of the quantum physics research is quite interesting, and basically starting to point towards "God" and agreeing, but from a science angle, with ideas that are ancient, but from spirituality.

Science proved that the Shroud was a fake, a knock off, yrs ago. It is not old enough to have been in existence even, during the time of Christ. Just look at it. Its in too good of condition to date back that far. Anyone with eyes can see that without a microscope. Forgeries go back throughout history. It is a Middle Ages forgery.
Why do you read these 'Christian' slanted science bks? Because you want to believe it & you want validation.
My doctor is a religious man, but he was told in med school to take god out of his medical assessment equation when working professionally, and look at what he is looking at 'objectively.' I want a clear minded doctor when I go for a medical assessment, not some guy on an emotional god high.
Science must be 'objective,' out of the 'god box' for it to be legitimate & valuable at all.

LoL.Sorry but that reminds me of a movie called Creator(Peter O'Toole & Mariel Hemingway).See if you can find a copy and watch it and you will see why I'm laughing.OR should I tell you?
One day sciene will look down inits microscope and see the Eye of GOD looking back and the first one that blinks will lose his testacales.
Yes the Shroud has ben tested but the resualts have come up mixed .by scientific methods. Some say the cloth is not old enough or to old. some seems to have been painted on or not.Ect.
So its a matter of faith.yet.

It is depending on how confidence yourself with GOD. And also how you define it probably.

I am a science student and i used to study lots of phylosophy. Once the problem solved, i always think it is the act of Natural Law. Indeed, if the problem unsolved then i will say GOD knows the answer.

Well, till i am working now, and confidence to conclude that the distance between the science and god is depending on how we visualize and think about how Advance the GOD is compartively.

No doubt, unsolved problems that everybody is facing nowadays always the answer related to GOD. But once we find the solution, does that mean he/she is the GOD?

once you initiate out with a defective premise you get each little thing that follows incorrect. enable's be uncomplicated and admit that scientists initiate out brushing off the existence of God out of hand. So... they gained't seem for OR % out any certainly data they locate. case in point, in case you initiate out believing a million+2+3=8, each next calculation you're making that consists of the defective one will itself be defective. That suggested, there are scientists who pass opposite to that typical rule who locate "data" of God contained in the tiniest factors of his advent. See what Dr. Frances Collins, Director of the Human Genome undertaking on the NIH, has to assert approximately it.

Who can explain the things of God? Where were they when God made the heaven? Where were they when God spoke life to the universe and hung the heavens in the sky? Where were they when God breathed life into man after having formed him from clay. The things of this world are foolishnes to God. God doesn't have anything to prove...because HE IS!

Science will never catch up with God, but science often shows that there is a greater power then science.

The Shroud has been proven a fraud. If it wasn't, how would we prove it? SCIENCE, not God.

Also, God doesn't cure diseases, God doesn't invent things, and God doesn't explain Quantum Mechanics. So I guess science wins.

Eventually because God works His wonders by using natural laws. We just have to keep searching.
