do you think it's normal to not want to be born ever again. i'm not talking about the fear of the judgement day or the whole karma thing. i just don't want to be born again 'cause i've just about had it with everything that's going on in the world & no matter how happy i'd be, i never ignore the pain and struggle of other people and it makes me depressed 'cause sometimes there's nothing you can do.

thanks

Not wanting to reincarnate on this plane is a great motivator for getting it right this time. At least that's what I think.

Yes that's perfectly normal.

Our desires today have reached a point where, in a lot of people, they are so big that everything there is in this world can't fulfill us anymore.

We see how we chase pleasure after pleasure, and every pleasure we achieve fades away, and the only thing keeping us going is a desire for another pleasure...and so we go to achieve it, and then it fades away, and then comes another desire...and this process keeps continuing throughout our whole life.

"So please! Put me to rest! I don't want to have to be born again, and forced into this life of just chasing pleasure after pleasure!"

Why do I feel other peoples' pain? Because I myself feel bad, and I can empathize with their bad feelings.

That state where we are brought to, where we feel bad and feel like there's nothing we can do, is a very special state. It's in that state that we ask the deepest and most fundamental question of our existence: "What's the point?" - "What is the meaning of life?"

Whether we ask this question in words, or whether we just feel this question nagging at us from within, it doesn't matter. This question cries at our moments of deepest pain.

Anyone can interpret the reason for their own pain and the pains of others however they see fit. But everyone agrees that pain makes us think about its purpose and its cause.

All we need is the opportunity to discover that there is a source to life, and to attain adhesion with this source.

Do we have such an opportunity?

Being "born again" isn't a matter of living this life over again, much as one would think of reincarnation, but of being re-born spiritually. That's why God sent Jesus so that by making Him our Lord we could be remade spiritually into who God intended us to be. It's nothing at all to fear. In fact, it's the most incredible peace you can ever find, even if everything else in life comes crashing down around you. I've been there--check out the first link below for a little bit about my life. Feel free to drop me a line at chad@jesusfreak.com if you'd like to talk.

It's normal to want to live forever. I'm glad you don't want to endure another life on this sin stained planet we call Earth. Sin is destroying us and this planet and based on biblical prophecy, all may be over soon. Or maybe this cycle of sin and death will continue for another 1000 years. We cannot be sure, but we can be sure that Jesus is coming back to judge the nations and us individually. He will rule the Earth from Jerusalem for 1000 years and then there will be a new heaven and earth which will be perfect. No more sin and no more death. That is the promise of God. But God is also a holy righteous judge and He must judge us in accordance of what we have done with His son, Jesus Christ. If we repent of our sins and trust Jesus to save us from the wrath which is to come then we have done what we have been commanded by God to do. That is all we can do and then trust Jesus to save us.

I have no belief in reincarnation only in the Resurrection to life on earth at which time all sickness and death and pain will be done away with, my heart goes out to you. you feel as I and many others do regarding the struggles and pain of others, but I can promise you that the bible holds out a fantastic hope and it will come true.

Your response indicates that you have already reincarnated. People who are here first time round are usually oblivious to the suffering of others. It is the suffering that we experience ourselves, that makes us to be more compassionate and caring towards others. Do not despair, everything in the world makes sense.

The cycle of death and birth, continues with out an end. Do meditation for unification of soul to the Supreme Almighty. Other ways will not lead to your goal.

Thanks

The only way to get out this web of karma and reincarnation is Meditation

Till we merge into the supreme consciousness (god) this cycle continues...we wish or do not wish

I do think its a normal.

I'd see if I could shift the viewpoint to see the balance of things, ect. "zoom out"

a phrase to remember, that is for all intents, universally true:

"This too shall pass"
