I think it has to do with the interpretation. First of all, Jews accept the Old Testament but not the New Testament. They believe that Jesus was a prophet but not "God". Many Christians accept the Bible as moral teachings and do not interpret it in a literal sense. Jews also have the Talmud, which is a series of ways to interpret the Five Books of Moses that Rabbis discussed and passed down. Jews have been taught that to question and interpret is a good thing and is a part of faith. Fundamentalists of any religion often treat their religious Holy Books as literal truths and are taught to follow those teachings without question even though they have been written in a time that is very different from our own.
Whatever anyone believes is ok with me as long as they don't try to impose that on me. As far as I am concerned, faith and belief are very personal things, and thus each person should decide for him or herself what to believe in.

My dear Jesus Christ is a Jew.....the word Christian means a person who follows and attempts to act like Jesus.....it helps to read the Bible so that you can understand the Living God of the Jews which is also the Living God of the Gentiles turned Christian, which would be us the non-jews. The Jews are God's chosen people to fulfill prophecy and it is impairative that we as Christians understand them, help them, and bless them,....If you do not read the Bible you will not understand God.

Why do Christian believes what a jew taught? Don't you know that Jesus was a Jew? Don't you know that he believed in the old testament? Jesus didnot bring any new religion, he was continuing the religion. Following the ancient laws, bring some reform though. Christian are those who accepted the teachings of the old testatement and jesus' as well. If you do not believe in old testatement, then u cannot believe in jesus as well.

Jews who wrote the new testament were the first Christians. They witnessed Jesus' resurrection. Saul who persecuted the early Christians had a "road to Damascus" experience where Jesus revealed himself to Saul. Saul's name was then changed to Paul and was the greatest Evangelist for the early church.

I'm sorry to answer like this.
Do you have a brother or sister?
Why do you call your brother's or sister's father your father?
Why do you call your father's wife as your mother?
Christians do believe in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob (Israel) whom the Jews also believe and Jesus Christ showed.
So Christians believe their Gods messages written by His Prophets.
