Alot of factors contribute to what leads people to do awful things like this. Whether its being teased and bullied or trouble at home. But no matter what it is, it still that persons choice as to what he or she decides to do.
I was picked on in school, and I used it as motivation to improve, I never hated the children doing it to me, and it didn't lead me to killing people. It pushed me to be better. I graduated as Valedictorian and captain of our baseball and basketball team.
With some of the other school shootings it has been adults going it and committing these crimes. Evan an 8 year old knows killing is wrong, there is no excuse for a 50 some year old to do this. Adults are responsible to deal with events that happen in their lives, no matter how tragic of an event it is. If needed they should go receive counseling. For instance, the shootings in Pennsylvania, that had nothing to do with the students or the school. It was just an easy target for that man with a grudge and issues from his past.
Bad things happens in life, we need to learn to deal with it and move on, forgive people and make ourselves better people because of it. Making excuses for our behavior is not right.

There have always been bullies in schools, but kids haven't always come back with guns and opened fire. I think the school is partly to blame when the staff doesn't act against bullying. Likewise, students should also intervene if they see someone being bullied. I've taught my kids to step up if they ever witness another kid being picked on. My son has done so and felt really good about it! But the bulk of the problem, in my opinion, lies with the parents. So many kids are exposed to graphic violence in video games, movies and tv because their parents don't pay attention to whether or not these things are age appropriate for their child. Additionally, where are the kids getting the guns in the first place? It usually turns out it belongs to a family member. My dad had a gun the whole time I was growing up and I never even knew. I was so surprised when he told me! I already had kids of my own and we were talking about this very subject when he casually mentioned that he didn't think we kids even knew he had an gun in the house. That's how it should be.
Parents need to work in tandem with the school to prevent these tragedies in the future, and kids should be taught to report any bullying they witness or suffer in school.

People have to held accountable for their actions. I know that battered childhoods and years of bullying can shape an unhappy and violent adult, but, aside from finding a person insane where do we draw the line?
As a parent, I am frightened by the recent school shootings. The vunerability of any school scares me all the time. I hope that every school now is better equipped to handle these situations and are more aware of what is going on campus at all times.

If one agrees with u then we are going back in civilisation to the rule of the Jungle. The point is where did they get the gun from - obviously, easy accessibility to firearms needs to be controlled.

i think it is sick,, you can't even send your kids to school any more and hope they are safe,,,
Kids are cruel,, and some times they break,, but why do that,,,
like the old saying goes stick and stones can break my bones but names will never hurt me,,,
If the dam media wouldn't broad cast it other kids won;t get the idea,,, Yes they will but come on,, ,little kids are getting scared to go to school,,,
my sons looks for ways out of every one of his classes just in case something like that should happen,, he should be worried about his education,, not that,,,,
