I love to feed Canidae..It costs more per bag, about $35 for 40 pounds, but they eat less, and waste(poop) less. I save about 28% over feeding Iams or Nutro...My old dogs are acting and looking younger, and my pups have thrived! The vet was amazed at the condition of my oldster..he said her blood values were that of a 4-5 year old, and her teeth were sparkling white!

I feed my dogs a grain free dog food because one of my dogs is allergic to grains, one is allergic to beef and the other is allergic to the artificial perservatives found in the cheaper foods. I also like to rotate their food every 4 or 5 mo. Right now they are eating Innova EVO, but I also like Timberwolf organics, Nature's Variety Prairie, Natural Balance, Solid Gold, California Natural, Canidae, Wellness just to name a few.

P.S. If you look at the ingredients in Beneful, corn is the first ingredient :o(

No doubt about it..............Innova EVO.

It is more expensive than grocery store brands, but due to higher grade ingredients, the dog will actually eat less than the cheaper, grocery store brands.

I don't own stock in the company.....but I do recommend it to clients who ask me my opinion. I've seen some improvements in a lot of skin/health issues in client's dogs who have switched to Innova EVO. I have a lot of clients who already feed various premium brands and most of them have changed to Innova EVO. I would not feed anything else to my own dogs and I have to drive 60 miles to buy it in my area.

Just compare ingredients and do some research.

I like Diamond Naturals because it has no corn, soy or wheat;it's not as expensive as some of the other premium brands, and my dogs love it and look great.I feed the Lamb and Rice and the Senior 8+.

We feed my dog Benniful by Purina because she has alergies. But they have many varieties for dogs with weight problems, or even just dogs that need better food. I know they make it with veggies and some with salmon. Oh, an my Econ teacher last year was a dog trainer and breeder, and told us that, by law, dog food companies have to list their ingredients by amount. So if you're looking for a quality food, never buy one where the meat in the food isn't the first ingredient. If it says flour or corn flour, or anything like that, then it's mostly flour with little meat or vegetables. So check the labels of foods you're interested in and find one that has chicken or beef or salmon as the first ingredient. That way you know you're getting what you pay for.

I agree with the Canidae recommendation. Also, highly recommend Solid Gold (though it's more expensive...at least in this area).

I feed my dog Nutro Max. I foster dogs and it seems to agree
with most of them. Not too pricey and not a lot of by-products
or fish meal that makes the dogs fart.

I feed mine Iams. Eukanuba is also made by Iams and is good. I know that Science Diet is also a quality dog food.
