Crunches and ab work outs won't cut it. What you'll get is some nice abs hidden behind a layer of fat. There's only one way to remove the fat around your mid section and that is through cardiovascular activity and watching what you eat. There's numerous web sites that can help you out with this. Basically, walking and running combined or swimming are the best options. I would suggest walking briskly for 10 minutes, running for 5-10 minutes, and walking for another 10 minutes, 3 times a week. By all means do the ab work outs just know they wont help you lose the weight. As far as dieting goes all you really have to do is cut down on carbs and fat. Eat a lot of protein and watch empty calories like soda and alcohol. Some examples of some good things would be, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, lean chicken not fried, low fat peanut butter, salads, etc. Hope that helps!!! :)

Well, you can bring it in by using a physioball.
These exercises, when done on a physioball will give you a tighter, flatter stomach in just 2 weeks if you do them every other day. (give 'em a day off in between to recover.)
*prone jackknifes (also the prone walk-out for beginner beginners)
*Pikes or "V-Ups"
*Planks
*Sit-ups on the physioball, side to side to work the obliques. (building the obliques will pull your tummy flatter)
Another great thing to practice is stomach vacuums, which you can do almost anywhere, anytime. Suck in the belly as hard as possible, belly button to spine, and hold for as long as possible. Then relax for a minute. Repeat until fatigued. This works a muscle deep inside the abs that pulls in the top layers. Give it a try!

You're only 22, so you should have lots of energy to get to the gym or do crunches, etc. at home as well as to shop for nutritional food and supplements. Or maybe you should see a doc. Or perhaps try some aloe.

I'm about the same height. I am pretty thin but my tummy is round. I have given up on having a six-pack and learned to love my little belly. Now I think it's kinda sexy, it's soft, seductive and womanly.

I'm not trying to be gross but if you eat three times a day than you should be having a bowel movement three times a day. If not ,this could be causing your belly. If you take HIGH FIBER daily this should help. Be careful and don't confuse fiber with laxatives. laxatives are dangerous if used often.

To me, a little belly is sexy. I know you are only 22 and want to wear a bikini, mid drift shirt, etc. but don't get too drastic. If you want to exercise, then do it. You'll read a lot of answers. Don't get phrantic about it...it's a cute thing...trust me.

Crunches, do like 100 a day and you'll notice the results pretty quickly. Unless of course you are in denial and are really fat.
