Why do some people get "violations" over stupid stuff while people like this...
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AlCzc3yGZ.L_CLydnOkwScXsy6IX?qid=20061004215135AAF7gLJ
...on the other hand don't have their accounts terminated and they just keep on posting this junk? Why does Yahoo just allow or ignore people like that?

(Yes I know this question does not totally fit this section, but the I'm putting it here in regard to the subject matter of the other person's post I am addressing.)

Indigo.

Some of the worst posts come from who?

Yahoo employee's themselves. YES. There are 2 that I, know of that work for yahoo. They post the most offensive questions and laugh about it. If you Report them, They are the very ones that get the Report. Hello?

There has been 1 on here tonight for several hours. I have watched them. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done. UNLESS.....

A few people will email Yahoo Administration. Not Yahoo Team. You have to go too the Yahoo Home page. Tell them, times, dates, and names. I know this was done about 3 months ago. I have not seen 2 people on here that used it be. In fact. They no longer work there.

I suppose it relates to the reporting system. If the adminstrator attention is not brought to the offensive material then they can hardly ban the user. Also, a banned user can simply create a new username and post away some more. Finally, I doubt this person is for real either with the ideology behind the statements of the statements themselves. The self denegrating appelation of 'Dumb American' is not one that would likely be self applied by someone as arrogant as those statements would lead one to believe them to be.

Just another trash talker on a soap box..What some people will do to gain a little attention.. Its pathetic anymore!!! Hopefully Yahoo will take note an do something. Don’t get me wrong Im a strong believer in freedom of speech, when it serves a purpose good bad or in between.. But some people just ramble to hear them self spew and say nothing.. This person is a PRIME example...

Good question! It takes them up to 24 hours sometimes to get to the questions reported. I did not see her question till you pointed it out. Thanks! I reported her and attached in their little comment box that her account needs to be deleted not just let her receive a violation notice.
Usually they respond quickly yet when they get so many reports at one time it takes a while to sort them out and check into them before taking action. She got like 36 thumbs down, so I'm sure a lot of them reported her. So I'm sure her question will be removed. Her account may get deleted but she could just end up with a violation notice.
It's trash like her posts on here that I don't allow my kids to read.

I think it is more useful NOT to report this kind of questions, so these people are exposed for what they are. Anyway, I do agree that people get violations over stupid stuff.

I posted a question earlier and used the words pi88ed off, and it was deleted because I used offensive and vulgar language.
We have all seen much worse language in here, and absolute insults thrown at other participants. Grant you my choice in words could have been better, but in the context of what I asked it was the language that was used in an analogy that I heard in church as a child.

For the same reason they allowed that and worse to continue on yahoo chats for years. That is why they no longer have a user rooms section. It was shut down because of the filth that was done there. Remember Yahoo is a company that wants to advertise for their sponsors.... they want you to use yahoo search engines.... ect ect because that allows them to advertise for more sponsors.... which brings in more $$ for yahoo.
They arent a bit more interested in what goes on in these forums than anything.... its a gimic or draw to get people to utilize their site.

yes I saw it too, and also reported her. It's those type of bigoted view points that causes race wars. All it does it breed hate. I agree also with your point that some of the questions that are allowed on here are shameful.

OMG what a horrible post that woman left! I think she just did that to get a rise out of everyone. And if she was serious, she is seriously disturbed. If enough people report her, Yahoo will boot her. Her comments are insulting to alot of people.
