You should be able to find color stripper in a beauty supply store. also, my grandmother has told me to use vinegar.

yeah shaved off is the best, but i came up w/ this theory..cut ur ends w/ every 2-3 inches of new growth about2-3 inches.. so u create an illusion that thar not realling cutting ur hair too much ,cuz ur getting the same amount of new growth, or right now i had reddish hi lights, so i semi prem color my hair black, so after a few washes i see the hi lights again..

What color is your hair naturally? If you've lightened it, try adding some highlights as your hair grows out to help it blend. If you've darkened it, well...be prepared to wait a loooong time. Like a few years.
