I had an amazing first date with an awesome guy, we had dinner, drinks, ended up in a hotel for 12 hours (having amazing sex), he called me the next day, and everyday since, and we've made plans for another date this weekend. I'm wondering if this is an exception to the rule.

Yup, it could happen. It just depends on the two people and how well they handle it. People that say having sex on the first date ruins a relationship are lying, because it doesn't always happen that way. Although ideally, you should probably wait a little longer, if the connection is just there, then it could definitely happen and work. Good luck!

What rule? A relationship is based on feelings and common ground and not whether you had sex on the first date. If you both want it to work, it will work

Of course! Why does there have to be a rule saying you can't be in a good relationship because you knew what you wanted, saw it, and went after it right away? There is nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

yes it can still work out I hooked up with my guy on the 1st date and we have been together for over 4 1/2 yrs.

well when i met my fiance it was in a night club and he was drunk and trying to hook me up with his friend!!!!
i told him i wasn't interested in his friend and gave him my phone number for him not his friend. i didnt go home with him the first night but he rang me the next day and we went out again that night and i did end up going home with him and we slept together. we have been together ever since 2 1/2 years later.
i am now 34 weeks pregnant and we are planning our wedding next year!
so yes im sure for most people includng yourself it is possible

yes it can , i had sex with my partner within 2 hours of us meeting each other and we still do it 25 years later , and guess what we are also best friends (this is more important)

i don't think so...both of you are single and mature enough to do what you want...maybe he's after sex..why don't you clear things with him on your 2nd date so that you know where you stand and waht's the score between the two of you
