there is no "ideal" weight, but healthy weight range. The healthy weight range for your age and height can be from 120 to 160 pounds, according the the body mass index. I know thats quite a range, but anywhere in there is considered healthy.

at 16 5'9" a teenager can vary in weight.......many times this is based on genetics.....yet, if following safe workout routines with dedication and proper diet ( varying amongst everyone ) at 16 you could easily carry a weight anywhere between 150 to 175 pounds......ideal weight? depends on what your standards are.........waist size? at those weights mentioned....29 to 34.........datrightder

Thinking back to my High-School days...155-165 lbs. For metric, aim for 70-73kg.

for your height to be considered healthy you could weight between 128-162
