Tummy aches often produce acids in the stomach and milk easily sours. The souring of the milk in your stomach will only add to the "upset" and "sick" feeling in your stomach.
When I was a young lad and had an upset stomach, my mother would give me Ginger Ale to drink and--somehow--it always settled my stomach. Not right away, but within 10-15 minutes. Stay away from any milk products or sweet sodas. Water will dilute the stomach contents, but has no "medicinal" properties, pseudo or otherwise.
If I had to give you three choices, they would be ginger ale, Tums or Alka Seltzer.
I am not a doctor, and I don't play one on TV. :)

Think about your body's reaction to milk.
For many people, milk tends to increase the mucus in their sinuses which is a sign that they might be somewhat allergic to it. I love icecream and won't give it up even if I were to get stomach pains from it. Well, I might stop eating it if I found out I was going to die from it in five years, but otherwise, I will probably just keep buying my favorite Ben and Jerry's and making gelatos.
In short, if I were you, I would only drink that milkshake if I knew my mind could overcome any trauma it would do to my tummy. That's the way I feel about ice cream and allergies.

Are you lactose intolerant? Do you have the same probelm with icecream too? maybe you stop drinking milk when you are young & now lack the enzyme to break milk down when you grow up. Drink in small quantity & warm milo with increasing amount of milk may help to kick start your digestive system again. Keep off cold milkshake first. However if you are lactose intolerant, see a doctor or nutritionist, they maybe able to give you better advice.

Milk is not easy to digest as it has to be split in the stomach then digested cause then it will be a solid form. its like puttting preasure on the sick tummy. thus milk will increase tummy pain :) better eat curd.. its easy to digest and good for tummy. it will relax the pains too.

Milk can actually help stomach pains (unless you're lactose intolerant) because of the calcium it contains. Just take a look at the main ingredients in a bottle of Tums (calcium and magnesium).

Your best to not drink milk, becuase not only do you already have a stomach ache but...it's not a clear liquid, and when you have stomach ache's or problems the best is H2O or Sprite, 7-Up, or Sierra Mist...milk also thickens the mucus in your saliva and your stomach fluid aswell!
