It seems to me any born again Christian should be speaking out against the current administration, or at least not speaking out in favor of the president.
"Do not lie" - Leviticus 19:11
Bush lied to get us into a war.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." - Matthew 5:9
Bush started a war, and has done nothing to promote peace in any part of the world.
"So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." - Matthew 7:12
Bush is trying to get the legal right to continue to torture prisoners.
Leviticus 25 talks about the year of Jubilee, a time when all debt is to be canceled, giving everyone a new start. Bush, however, has passed laws to make it more difficult for individuals to file bankruptcy.
Several passages in the Bible talk about being a good steward of all that is given you. Bush has brought the national debt to over 8 trillion dollars. It had NEVER reached 1 trillion before his administration.
Bush lost me as a supporter during Katrina. I can't believe how blind I was before.

Thank goodness we live in the land of the free where we can say our opinion without persecution. I think that Jimmy Carter is a christian and has a right to ask certain questions. President Bush is a human and sometimes we can all use advice from others. It is my hope that Mr. Bush is still asking God for advice and guidance, sometimes I am not sure.

I believe that Pres Carter is a good man deep down, but his thinking is skewed. His presidency from 1977-1981 was one of the most inept and worst of the 20th century.
Inflation was at double digits, the prime rate of interest reached 20 %, unemployment approached 10 %, our military was weakened, the price of gasoline (adjusted for inflation) reached an all time high, he refused to let our athletes compete in the 1980 Moscow Olympics (thereby crushing the hard work and effort of so many who had put their lives on hold to train for a once in a lifetime chance), and when the Iranians grabbed our embassy and took hostages, he did nothing for six months, and then ordered a joke of a "rescue mission", sending eight helicopters to get them out (two of which crashed and killed the soldiers), ordered them to turn back, and never did anything about it again.
Is it any wonder that Ronald Reagan won one of the greatest landslide victories in American history?
I think that he should keep his mouth shut and stop trying to undermine Pres Bush.

You believed him when he said he was born again?
Do you see the fruit of righteousness in his life?
No president has done more to subvert the Constitution than Mr. Jimmy Catta. NONE
If he were born from above, he would have fought to overturn the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. He's a spineless wimp who claimed he was "born again" to capture the "religious" vote.

I fail to see how this even relates to either of their faith..... its playing politics....If Bush were a democrat Carter would be trying to lift term limits.....
He has a right to his opinion just as we all do. Being a mouthpiece is all he ever really achieved in the political arena.
Outside politics he does some great work with Habitat for Humanity and several other organizations.
They are both men... neither perfect .. and both with a political agenda..... it has nothing to do with either of them having faith or not having faith.

Carter claims to be born again, yet his actions do not meet the criteria of those claims.
Regardless of that fact, former President Carter has freedom of speech and can say all that he wants, and hope that the younger generations do not remember how miserably he failed while in office.

Carter ranks even ahead of Clinton as crappy President. As an individual, he's a much better man than you are.

I'm a Christian and I think Prez Bush has made terrible mistakes. Just because he's a Christian doesn't make him a great President.
