Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.

But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.

So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.

There's no such thing as a magic formula! It takes a lot of time and persistence.I know from my own experience.

I've been doing it for 5 years now, first having lost 30 lbs.,then gaining most of it back, now losing it and keeping what I've lost so far off, thanks to the fact that I joined Weight Watchers earlier this year, going to meetings once a week, and being on their Core plan.

They have 2 plans,Core & flex, and,to sum it up,everything's permissable on both plans. They don't believe in suffering & deprivation, which is great. That type of so called dieting doesn't work anyway.

The meetings are also,in my opinion, fun & informative.Weight Watchers also emphasizes portion control & exercising-any kind of physical activity which really burns the calories.

Dieting isn't just about food. It's about attitude and self esteem more than anything.Weight Watchers doesn't call their plans diets, because they don't believe in diets, but they do believe in plans, and that makes more sense, because diets don't work!

As a U.S. Army veteran,I also consult with a registered dietician a couple of times a year through the Veterans'Health Administration at a local Veterans' Administration clinic.

That's my "dietary" medical help.

If necessary, consult a doctor or a registered dietician before going on any serious "diet" & exercise program of any kind, especially if you're seriously overweight. This means getting a physical exam,if necessary.

I hope you find my answers helpful.

I eat a little bit of everything. The things that I eat least of is junk food. I eat more vegetables with my meals. I make all sauces for pasta. If we eat rice, it is plain, not seasoned boxed sides. Also drink alot of water. If you carry water with you all the time, you are less likely to eat all the time. I walk for exercise. 2 miles daily. Eat fewer calories than you take in. Guaranteed weight loss formula. It is hard because I love to eat, but I have lost 60 pounds since the birth of my baby 6 months ago. I have only been walking for 2 months. I have changed sizes 3 times. Costly, yet worth every penny!

If you think you can change your diet and not exercise to lose weight you are mistaken, if you think you can exercise without changing your diet to lose weight you are also mistaken. For a fit and "healthy" lifestyle, a combination of both long term needs to be used. Eating healthy does not mean deprivation. You need to investigate some books. i love your honesty saying its all about the food! b/c no one wants to exercise. anyways, you should try the weight watchers points system. Its pretty awesome b/c you dont HAVE to eat healthy, you can eat whatever you want b/c all foods have a point value. Depending on your weight will depend on how many points you get per day. Foods that are "bad" for you have a high point value and foods that are good for you have a lower point value so it encourages eating healthier so you can eat more. Its a good way to keep track and really realize what you are eating. Its actually really easy and about 3 or 4 of my co workers have had a lot of success with this system. Good luck!

lol.... the food does have alot to do with it but if you eat rationally, instead of the king donalds or something then you should be on your way down, there are so many tricks of the trade out there like for instance did you know if you dabbed a napkin on top of pizza to remove most of the oils on the top after it's done cooking that you just lost about 40% of the fat...... mainly oils, grease, butter you know the stuff we all grew up adoring on bread, or with eggs..... clogs the arteries and it slows your metabolism, thus making it harder for the average man or woman to lose the weight, because they can't breath because they smoke there are so many things out there that induces that urge to eat, commercials, signs, billboards, and of course a fast food restaurant on every corner. well i hope this was useful to you and nothing out there is a miracle drug, trust me i know ! !

Would you believe I just answered a similar question?

Go to your doc, and see if you're healthy enough to take Topomax. It was originally marketed as an anti seizure med, but is being used in the US "off-label" for weight-loss.
My mother started taking it for migraines, and dropped 35kg without even getting off the couch.

Its a matter of 'output is greater than input'....tells you to eat less and exercise more. Its the only solution to a weight problem. DIET...............remove the letter 'T'...and you have DIE. So just watch what you eat
