They will keep for weeks, if you.....1st take them out of the plastic bag(if you bought them that a way) & out of the light. In the bag is where roaches love to be., because they come from a huge ware house & they have been breeding & you just take them home with you. OK? The next thing, you should keep them in a dark place, or in the frigerator, you can keep them for almost 2 mths that way. Good Luck!

Until you see roots growing out of them they are still good. If the roots are very small you can still use the potatoe and just cut around the root. Potatoes stay good for a long time in most cases.

depends on how you keep them they can last for months. back home when we used to grow our own potatoes we kept them cold in cellar and they were good from time we harvested them to time we planted them again which was about 5 months.
shop bought potatoes may not last that long, but if you want to increase their life keep them cold and away from light, otherwise they will turn green which is poisonous.

if u want to keep them till they dry out then it will take around a month. dont keep them near any thing wet keep them open (not in plastic or cloth or any containers). let them get some air and you may even see new potatoes growing before they dry out. BEWARE if they turn rottn they smell really really awful
