im a cook in tha military, i do all the baking. now i was told by my boss that sprinkles only go on cookies and cakes for children or adults. so what can sprinkles be used for ? and where are some good web sites to find them on?

I say take a walk on the wild side, put sprinkles on whatever you want :) Maybe it's a military thing~you know, you could be accused of spelling out secret codes or something with sprinkles so be careful. use your sprinkles for good, not evil.

Sprinkles (chocolate) and or Jimmies (Multicolored) go on something with icing. Cakes ,cup cakes, ice cream are some of the items the above decorate and will stick to. Cookies,brownies, and the like usually have nuts,raisins, or cc chips in the batter. I have no idea where to get those items is Institutional volumes. If you want home size samples let me now where to send them. You can make some test batches and see if they brighten up the MESS. I'm a Salvation Army Volunteer If you don't have a canteen on base Id be happy to deliver some baked goods for the good of morale. See you in the Funny Papers.

Yea, they can be put on frosted cakes. Cupcakes, are basically shorter cakes. Cookies, too if they're either warm sugar cookies or frosted ones. You can use any edible sprinkles- I get them at the market. Also michaels Art Supply.
