I had two children, and now three grandchildren, and I did not lose my spontaety. I am still me. Everyone regardless if they have a baby or not goes through changes in life - it is called maturity. that does not mean you lose your identity. A baby can also bring much joy into your life - and you will see things with a new perspective through their eyes, a fresh outlook. it is awesome. sure there will be responsibility, but that comes with growing up. You wanted to be grown up and had sex thinking it was fun and spontaneous... well pregnancy is a part of sex most people do not consider - but should BEFORE they have sex. It is your choice about what to do, but you need to think logically, responsibly (and that means for your child as well), and you need to talk to your parents or a counselor about your decision. Best wishes. (and enjoy this stage of your life, lots of women yearn to be in your shoes but can not conceive).
I just saw your additional comment. It is wonderful that you decided to raise him. What about joining a mommy and me group? They do things that allow them to keep their own identities, socialize, and the kids get to enjoy each other as well. Also, do things you love to do and take your child along or ask grandma to watch him for a couple hours. We are always delighted to get our grandchildren, and it is a special treat for us to have them overnight - which gives parents a break too! Stop feeling sorry for yourself, get a doctor's help if you need to so that you are not thinking so down, and enjoy the best years of your life! If you think differently, you will see how much fun and spontaneous having a toddler is instead of being sad about it. Go check out a garden or park, the zoo, take a walk and watch his face as he sees new things. I guarantee that your son would be a ray of sunshine if you do. And - spend an hour a week just for you, even if it is during his nap time or sleep time and you have decided to just relax with candles, bubbles in the bath, and a book.

If you are still pregnant, get to a doctor. You need to watch your nutrition very carefully. You're probably becoming malnourished.
And that can cause depression and fatigue.

This is especially important because you are also under a stressfull load.

Good luck, get really good prenatal-care, and give yourself some free time to just relax.

you will go through alot of changes within yourself- i am not into the abortion thing so you can check into adoption- alot of times some couples will pay very well for your healthy newborn- if that sounds horrible try looking up a pregnancy crisis center- they will help you with your decisions. as far as getting you back- a baby is a big deal- you will lose some of yourself and grow in motherly instincts. its all in the hormones.
