Quicktime keeps loading even though i disabled in msconfig like 10 times and shows up in my sys tray. is there anything i can do besides unistlling.

Dont have 10 but the older versions i had check under options(have to browse the quicktime player program itself) and see if u can uncheck the "launch at startup" feature. Laterz

Check to see if you have any Quick Time Active X Control installed in your PC (Apple Mac is exempted). Try removing that Active X control. To look for the active x, go to the options of IE and look for addons section.

If you no longer need QT, uninstall it (use Add & Remove Programs.) If you dont want it on startup, check QT's prefs.

you right click the QT icon on system tray and click on Close it will ask you if you want to load it on startup or not (I think, i used qt long time ago)

check wether in msconfig - general tab - startup selection,
selective startup radio button is selected or not.
if not, turn it on & all its sub check-boxes but not "use modify boot.ini"
