Im sorry that im not long winded.
1 i have no block pop up that i know of.
2 I ctrl Alt Del and see no un reconized program running.
3 Yes there is no adware via spybot.
4 I do not want and cant upgrade do to other conflicts

Once again when I qlick it opens a new window but does not pass the hyperlink info to the address bar. If I right click copy the link. then left click to open new ie window I can paste the link hit enter and that works.
Is there a way to get a list of dll files that explorer uses? Im pretty sure that would fix it.

Did you try to download the latest version of the explorer? how much RAM you have in your machine? Did you try to clean your system from unneeded temporary files cookies, history etc? did you do a scan disk and a difrag? If not. do all these and if you still have the problem, get a new version of Windows or a new machine and transfer your data to the new machine.

Have you checked for spyware and adware? run a spyware remover program. Also if you have any toolbars installed you might want to remove it too. such as google toolbar..
If after all this u still have the problem.. log in as another user. (make one if u dont have one). See if they have the same problem. If they don't .. then the issue is with your profile.. rename ur profile by going to c:\documents and settings and renaming ur profile to username.old. Log out and back in as yourself.. you will have a new profile.. Copy accross ur desktop etc from ur old profile to the new one.

Hope that helps

Is that possible that you are in the full screen mode ? To enter/exit full screen mode press F11. To open a link in a new window right-click it and from the pop menu select "Open in New Window".

Disable and/or uninstall all your pop-up blocking software, and toolbars. Make sure a Firewall software is not blocking port 80.
