I thought you could only get unemployment, welfare, food stamps, etc. if you have proof you're a citizen. At least two proofs, from what I've been told. So, how do they get those, and if they don't, why do people still say they're costing the US tax-payer's money. Elementary, Junior/middle and highschools are for the children of immigrants... who are natural born citizens, so that means it's not illegals costing US tax-money, but citizens costing US tax-money. Also, universities will ask you for at least 2 proofs of ID and citizenship or they won't accept you... So how?

So anyone with fake ss cards, fake IDs and fake everything can get benefits? I thought they checked those apps throughly, if not, how do they come up with their numbers (reports, racial profiling, correct founding)? Does it mean that American benefit offices are worst-off than Mexican ones?

That's right. Immigrants cannot get welfare or any benefits, except emergency medical assistant, it's true that immigrants don't pay taxes, but if they were cualified to report their income the government would have to give them money for their tax returns. All that money is what is funding social security benefits , and more things that americans enjoy.

I have been a public school teacher for a number of years and I can tell you that a lot of my students actually commute from Mexico to schools in the USA each day. They sneak over everyday. On top of that, teachers have to stop the class to explain to the illegals who do not speak English what is going on. Guess what is going on during that time? The legal students have to sit there and have learning time taken away from them. In regards to the welfare and such, illegals seem to be able to get these benefits because they go into these government offices and simply say that they do not have anything to prove that they are US citizens. The government is required not to turn them away just because they can't prove they are US citizens. Then these illegals take this money that is provided for them by my tax dollars and send a lot of it down to their families in Mexico. Also, another cost that illegal immigrants are costing us is the fact that a lot of illegals buy used cars and don't register the car with the state motor vehicle department. This is registration money that is not being paid to fix things like the roads that these illegals drive on. Had a legal citizen bought the used car instead of the illegal, the chances are that the car tax would have been paid. The myth of the USA needing illegals is just that, a myth. In the past, society thought a family could not survive without a horse for work and transportation. As time went by, we were able to survive without them.
Interestingly enough, if you try to go to Mexico and live there illegally, you will either be killed by their police or thrown in prison down there. If you don't believe this, just look at what Mexico does on the southern part of their border.

Well, lucky, after reading all the answers you got to your question here, I don't feel that I can really add a whole lot but I hope you see that YES, illegal immigrants CAN and DO get welfare and other benefits in a myriad of different ways! For a group of people who claim that it is too difficult to apply for work visas, green cards, and legal immigration, they sure do know how to get around the system once they get in illegally!! It's amazing what FAKE ID will get you, eh? As well, as many describe here, many of the welfare offices are staffed by people sympathetic to illegal immigrants and they obviously feel that they have a right to dish out taxpayer money to illegal immigrants, as they see fit, often without even asking for any form of ID whatsoever, fake or otherwise! You got a lot of very good answers here and I hope you read them all carefully and understand that those who said illegal immigrants can NOT get benefits have either got their heads in the sand or they are illegals themselves or are related to or in romantic relationships with illegals and so it is in their own self-interest to deny this truth. I see teachers here who speak from experience that illegals are IN THE SCHOOLS, so you are wrong, they do NOT have to supply proof of citizenship. However, from things I am seeing in the news this seems to be changing in some cities and hopefully other cities will make the changes, too. Get YOUR head out of the sand!

Yes they can and they do it every day!
States without residency requirements, besides Tennessee, are Hawaii, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin. 10 states that allow an undocumented immigrant to get a driver's license.A license with their photo and a fake birth certificate and they get WELFARE!!!!! FOOD STAMPS and FREE MEDICAL, and they become eligible for the programs that will pay 2/3 or their rent and utilities. Then they line up at the food banks and churches for more free food and clothing. While the daddy gets the contract to work a crop from planting through harvest, but the entire family helps him with the work. At the end of asparagus crop in WA state the average immigrant farm worker will be paid approx 10 to $15,000.00 not bad wages for a couple of months work and someone else footing all your bills and feeding your family huh?

Every day they are here they use the roads that we pay for right? Every day that they work and get paid under the table, they are exempt from paying taxes, which we all have to pay. I do not know how they get away with getting benefits, but they do because some also get away with buying cars, houses, working, and getting credit, so obviously they have found a way to get around here. So I don't know, since I am not of criminal mind like they are. Also--All the children born to both illegal parents should not be considered citizens anyway. At least one of the parents should be a decent legal person.

Yes. I do not know about whether they can get welfare, but I know that they can get other benefits. One of the benefits that they can get is free food. They just need to show their identification card and application to get free food. Of course, they need to proof their residence and whether they are living there on a permanent basis. But, I do have to say that the illegals are costing the U.S. taxpayer's money, simply because they are getting benefits which for the most part are free. And that is, even with the fact that some of them do not speak and/or understand English.

In the city I live in, they used to be able to get on welfare, the city would not ask for status....But the laws changed a few years ago and that stopped overnight....Also, the issue of public schools, is one you CANNOT blame on illegals...We allow them in the schools and don't ask for proof of citizenship, the reason? Because the more students the public schools receive, the more funds they receive from the state....You never hear anyone talking about that do you? I know, because I worked in the school system...

Good Point! I think they and all illegal immigrants can! My husband and I are both Mexican/American from generations back. But when the two of us were layed off from our jobs a few years ago, we went to apply for Medi-Cal (government funded medical coverage) and they said that we brought in too much income to qualify from unemployment! A few days later, we found out that my husbands brothers wife, who is an immigrant from Guatemala, receives Medi-Cal for her daughters. So I guess when immigrants come and have kids over here, it costs the US tax dollars. That really upset my husband and I because we've payed our taxes over the years. We deserved to receive some help when we were in need. But we couldnt get anything. Good thing he found a job shortly after!

it truly is superb which you have this kind of candy temperment for persons who illegally got here into this united states!!!!! they have not have been given any proper to be right here contained in the 1st place. that they had no documentation while they SNUCK around the US borders... they do no longer deserve any advantages from the US government. If a resident commits against the regulation, he's seen a criminal... a criminal isn't entitled to advantages. A mexican who comes into this united states illegally (or the different individual from the different united states for that rely) is committing against the regulation and is a criminal.... subsequently shouldn't get carry of welfare or the different handout by potential of the US government. people who come into this united states LEGALLY, gain this with perfect documentation, they got here right here, worked complicated, discovered the English language, adapted to the US customs and grew to become individuals.. working and paying taxes to united statesa.. Spanish isn't the language of america of a.. it truly is ENGLISH... it truly is a entire INSULT to america of a to sing it truly is nationwide ANTHEM in a miles off places language--because it develop into written and meant to be sung in English in easy terms!!!!! you haven't any longer have been given any ingredient right here. South California, Arizona and New Mexico are no longer to any extent further an ingredient of Mexico then long island!!! and by potential of ways, in basic terms because of the fact a city or city has a spanish call, it would not make it a spanish city.... tremendously whether it truly is a city contained in the rustic----...

Well I have notice that they will give immigrants welfare, food stamps etc before they give it to U.S citizens. My husband makes about 19 thousand a year to support 4 of us. We have to pay house insurance, car insurance, utilities, Michigan hi taxes and anything else that get thrown our way. I tried to get food stamps because we run out of food before the month is up. I have two boys one who have, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, AD/HD, and Asthma. and my one year old who just love to eat so we call him fat fat. I was told that my husband make to much plus my son disability. I gave them all are bills and she broke it down to me like this. The government will not count my husband or my disabled son because they have income. So me and my baby son only qualify for food stamps. But get this they go by my husband and my disabled son income. I said how is that if you don't count them. She said that I needed a income to go by, so that don't qualify me.
My baby sister was working in a fruit market and she said majority of the store customers were of a different race and could not speak English what so ever. When it was time to purchase the food. On the EBT card (food stamp card) they had over 1000 in food stamps.
And my family and thousands of other citizens whom struggles can't get help. What the hell is going on.
