Well, thoughts are in the brain, not the heart.

With practice, we can turn off conscious thought during meditation, but outside of death, parts of the brain are working even if not on the surface of our thoughts. It really depends on what you mean by the question.

Well, your heart pumps blood. If you mean can you empty your mind of all thoughts, perhaps for a few seconds, that's about it.

There's a great book called " battlefield of the mind" by Joyce Meyer. It is important to remember that your thoughts are not always your own and the enemy can influence them. The Bible says to "take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ" When you have a bad thought, speak against it in Jesus name.
