Hi
Over 12 years ago I used to work for Scientology. I spend like 2 years working as a staff member in Puerto Rico and then I joined the Sea Org and was there like two more years. I left the Sea Org when I decided to start a family.
Later I joined the US Air Force and currently I'm a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force working with airplanes.
I have not taken any services since I left the Sea Org but I continue to read books and listen to tapes.
My experiance as a staff member in Puerto Rico were very positive. Everyone was friendly and you have this very possitive outlook on life. My only complain was that because our pay was based on our income we didn't had a stable income. Every week it would jump up and down. I know I was working in accounting.
Being in the Sea Org is like being a monk in any other church, you work, you work and you study. There is very little time for anything else.
As a public I only have one complain: "the prices", that's why I haven't really taken any services since I left the Sea Org. I just can't afford it. I really want to but can't.
Is not that Scientology is that expesive. Their course prices are competitive with taking courses in any community college and auditing prices are competitive with the prices of any Psychologist. But they don't get free money every week afther sunday services from their congregation. When Scientologists do Sunday services they don't pass the plate. Scientologist earn their money by delivering courses and auditing. This is their only source of income. And anyone in Scientology will tell that the benefits of these courses and auditing services more than outvalue their prices.

I had a friend that was and took me to the org (Scientology church). They want you to pay money to take classes to teach you things everybody already knows + some stuff they made up. It is a racket. All the usual bs of religion with no redeeming quality whatsoever (no charity, no bonding/socializing with the congregation, no contribution to society). They get people in by building their egos (a typical ploy of western religion) then take their money. My friend wanted to meet movie stars. I think she was an idiot.

No. I would advise against looking into Scientology. It's mainly for rich people.

I did get to the point of astral projection but I found the entire progression in the Church to be a money pit.

I read a book about it in the seventies, it was as confusing as hell. It talked about different planes of existence or something like that. I was only like 10 - 12 years old.
