Is it okay for a guy to flirt with you at the gym, or would that offend you. When I've done it before, I've gotten a few smiles, but a lot of 'frown and walk aways.' What's the deal?
And if it matters, I'm not a hulking protein bar disposal, just a regular guy.

Hey if a guy is cute and flirts in a nice way, NOT a sleazy way, who cares where it is. Some women may feel they dont look their best at the gym, so think you are having some lame joke or something. Just try talking to them about normal everyday things or a compliment here or there.

For me it depends on the manner of the flirt. If it's just a fun little flirt then I might even flirt back just to make the time there more fun. If it's a serious flirt and you come on too strong you may just find yourself with some sore body parts.

Try seeing how intensely they are working out. Some women go to the gym to get guys, some women go for fitness and get guys along the way, and some are there for fitness.
If you flirt with a woman who is there to train and work hard, she will probably view you as a chauvinist jerk who is distracting her from her workout.
(Clear hints: Is she wearing make-up? Touching and fixing her hair? Cute workout clothes?/ Little to no makeup, hair in messed up ponytail? loose efficient work out clothes?)

There is a time and a place for flirting and the gym isn't one of them. I know, I didn't like guys looking at me while I was working out. I was small too....5'2" and 92 lbs....not ashamed of my body, I just didn't like to be gaulked at while I was working out.
If you want to flirt with someone....go somewhere else...not the gym. :)

I don't know there are a lot of pretty girls at the gym but something tells me that it's kind of inappropriate. I guess if she gives you the go-ahead that's OK, but just jumping into a conversation maybe not.

I work regulrly around the gym and Im always surrounded by sweaty buff men, most of whic try to get at me. Im trying to work out!! Also, I dont feel as pretty when Im at the gym, without make up and all, I get self concious..
Unless youre totally hot, I would tell you to back off and let me work on my abs. =]

I have to tell you that a lot of women are too into themselves this day and age. They act like idiots and can actually be rude, and then they complain that they can never find a decent guy. All we can do is hope that they get their act together.

If we're sweating and working really hard ~ we don't want to be looked at. You'll know the skankies who go only to get attention ~ they wear little or no clothing and their hair is perfect and not one drop of sweat :)
