I really don't know what it meant to be. I've been watching romantic movies and I always see those scenes especially if the movies are locally made. Lol, when I was a little girl, I thought it was romantic. Though, I never do that to my bf when I got angry at them. But i think it's cute...maybe after the confrontations and comfortings...the sparks begins and turn to fire..and when it became a fire,,it'll become hotter and hotter....until they released the liquid of love...hehehe
