A year back we both liked each other just emotionally but things didn't work out since our families didn't agree. All we did was told each other that we liked and will only take futher step in our relationship once our family agree. I have not even gone out with this guy, no such physical things or have even kissed him. Now I have completly gotten over him but recently he seems to be doing things which makes me feel like as if he is stalking me. He goes whereever I go, Gym, pool, meetings , cafetaria. He does all those things which I do. I might be overreacting but it doesn't seems like a coincidence to me anymore. I don't want to be rude by telling him directly on his face to go away. Although I thought about introducing him to one of my friend as my fake boy friend so he gets an hint that I have moved on and he needs to do the same. But that seems like inviting a another problem. I want solve this problem and want him to move on in his life peacefully. How should I get rid of him?

Don't do the fake boyfriend thing. That's just your mind panicking and trying to find a quick solution, but really, you would be tangling yourself up in a web of lies, and eventually, he would figure it out and be really hurt.

Also, you need to ask yourself if you still want to be friends with this guy when it's all said and done. That is something you have to decide on your own.

The best thing to do, as far as I can see, would be to tell him the truth, it's really not that harsh. (just leave out the creepy stalker bits) something along the lines of :

'I know last year we were really close, but I've changed and so has the way I feel about you,*insert how you feel here*. I don't know if you still like me as more then a friend or not, but I just wanted you to know how I feel, because I think it's important.'

Just take your time and say everything you need/want to say, and don't say anything you will regret. Remember that there was something about him that made you like him once, and you may learn to appreciate that in a future friendship.

Good Luck!

You should be very direct and to the point. Just tell him you aren't interested in him. Don't say "let's just be friends" because he may think there is still a possible way in that way. Don't be hostile or rude, just mention that it seems like he's following you around, and it is bothering you, and you aren't interested in going out with him. Don't console him if he gets emotional, just turn and walk away.

Be honest with him....tell him that you are not interested in a physical/boyfriend relationship but maybe you can be just friends...

Just say it. The longer it takes to say it the more it hurts them.
