i travel quite a bit because of my career and am dating a wonderful man whom i really enjoy being with but the traveling is getting in the way of taking the relationship a step further. i am not in fear of losing him but i do think it affects the closeness we could share. i don' t want to be unfair to him either. he seems happy with the time we share although he and i both wish there was more. his career does not involve traveling but mine will for a long time...what would you do ?

Well, you are not hiding anything from him. He knows your work schedule. What can you do? If you choose to keep this job, you are not going to find a better relationship. I would enjoyi it while you have it. He may eventually get tired of the fact that you are not willing to offer him a full time relationship. Enjoy what you have and take it one day at a time. I don't know how old you are, but if you are not too young, I have to ask you if when you are ten years down the road, do you want to look back and be glad you had that job or would you be happier knowing you spent time with a man who loves you and your relationship grew?

work always seems to get in the way of a great relationship. this is a tuff one. you need to earn a living but it sounds like you'd love to chalk it up and hang out more with your guy. is there any way you can shorten your buisness trips or even take less? a good man is hard to find now days, and life will pass you by if you don't make the best of it. Good Luck:)

Just tell him that you think he is really wondeful and you want this career, and you just need him to wait. Because you are having to wait too! Its unfair for the two of you... You miss him and enjoy him, as much as he enjoys and misses you! Good luck =)

If he approves, then it is OK. If not, then you have problems. Chances are, he is seeing someone on the side too. Or, he is a noncommital type of person.

Get him a maid for when you're gone so as to alleviate any sexual frustrations that may develop

you probably already have lost him. women are a bit selfish when it comes to love and relationship. they want everything for themselves
