i didnt like one of the answers i recieved calling my dog a bad bred dog he is NOT. he is very beautiful and he is a large dog he is 4 months old but is the size of an 8 month old dobie. HOWEVER he is not bad bred just big! i asked about him being called a Warlo ck doberman... he isnt that he IS however a AKC registered dobie with a good bloodline. but he is isnt a backyard breeder puppy either. with him being called a Warlock dobie i guess that just means from the 3 answers i recieved that hes going to be a very big boy?

AKC breeders will immediately jump to "bad bred dog" when they see a Doberman that does not conform to breed standards. Don't take it to heart. Just know that if you were ever to show your boy, he'd never ribbon. And honestly -- for the overall protection of the breed, he should not be bred. But that would go for anyone who has a VwD affected dog, and we all know AKC ignores that one!

Love your boy! That's all that matters.

It really is referred to by show people in that way...the poorly bred and oversized, way. He still can be AKC registered and be quite oversized. There is a height limit in the breed standard, so these dogs are so "out of standard" that they cannot be shown. I have no idea why this is, I can just tell you that I have heard it referred to in that way over the years to describe a dog that does not fit the standard and is poorly bred.
I am not a "Dobie person" so I cannot tell you any more.

I used to raise doberman's, usually had 3 or 4 at a time, raised them for 20 yrs, absolutely one of my favorite breeds, smart and
clean
I had one female that was unusually large, most people thought she was a male at first, she was of the warlock bloodlines
they are one of the oldest american bloodlines
