I beg to differ. A housewife tends to the house. She does the cooking the cleaning, the laundry, everything the house needs to run smooth. A stay-at-home-mom (parent) does some of those duties, but the most important duty is tending to the children. you get the dressed, you take them to school, you clean up after them, you take them to games, practises, you make their costumes, you help them with their homework. You tend to the children. You can only be a stay-at-home parent for a little bit, after that, you become a housewife.
