"Men" in general don't prefer any particular heels. They all pant like dogs if they see a girl in a mini-skirt and long legs walk in with sky high stillettoes, but that's a generalisation. If you're trying to please ur man - just ask him what he likes!
For me, I always wear high heels with jeans or pants. I wear ankle strap heels for something more dressy, pointed slingbacks for more casual and strapless/slip on heels are nice with dresses and skirts because they extend the line of your leg.
