Yes, they do want us to give up our religions because if they wasn't they wouldn't be here preaching their atheistic propaganda. They know that believers are a powerhouse. We do affect our government but hardly getting thru like the ACLU and other anti-religious groups. They do envy us because if they didn't then they wouldn't attack us or our beliefs. Our religious beliefs will continue to shine in spotlight for the good of mankind. They just have to get over it or join in.

The same reason that Christians want everyone to become Christian... we know we are right... I am a Christian and I want everyone to know Christ and have the same wonderful relationship that I have found with Him. And if I were an atheists, I wouldn't understand because obviously I have never felt this feeling that comes with knowing Christ. Therefore, for lack of understanding, they choose to make fun of things that they have no personal knowledge of...
And if you say that you used to be a Christian and aren't now.. so you "had" the relationship... I am going to say that you really didn't, because no one can turn away from God after they have had a real meaningful relationship with Him...
Spamandham: How can you ask us to keep our religeous beliefs private in a religion and spirituality forum? If we can't voice our beliefs here, then where can we?

I'm an atheist and I don't want you to give up your religion. I would however like more open minds. I also would like it if the christians and muslims would stop trying to convert the world, as well as trying to make their beliefs into laws for all of us. Other than that...I have absolutely no objection to your need for a superstitious mythology in your life. Many ppl can not thrive without the crutch of religion, but it's okay with me.

I think it depends on the person. Some atheists just say THEY don't believe in a god/goddess/etc, but others are more hardcore and insist their way is the only right way. You get extremists in every group. But I doubt atheists envy those who do believe a god(s), they chose to believe there is no higher power.

I don't really care if you continue to believe in God or not. I'm just deeply concerned that activist conservative Christians are screwing up the United States. I don't want to live in a theocracy.
I do have a secondary concern that belief in the Bible seems to be making Christians deny Science, which is going to hurt the ability of this country to complete in the world marketplace, but I can live with that if need be.

You don't have to give up your religion, miss. What you do have to do is stop beating us non-Christians over the head with your religion. Same for Muslims - you want jihad, I'll show you jihad if you try to convert me as you tried to convert Spain...with the point of a sword. I fight back, and I do it well, having been trained by the best in the world - the United States Army and the United States Marines!

Why do Christians want us to give up our homosexual relationships? If God will judge in the end...what is the difference to them? Do they envy us?
Deep down, do they have a curiosity about us? In their heart do they know they are wrong about us?
"theyre deep down curious and we have something they dont"
"they choose to make fun of things that they have no personal knowledge of."

You are not envied by atheists for having false beliefs.
Non-theists are trying to show you that your religions are false... many are just trying to help you see the error of your ways.

Because you are noisy and specially Muslims they call for prayers 5 times a day in loud speakers even in the early morning hours. I really do not mind if you keep your religion because some people can not function without it, but please do not enforce it on others.

i am not an atheist i am of pagan beliefs which Christians stole that's how you got your beliefs but atheists aren't there to condemn or tell you not to believe, the difference is they just don't believe and that is there right, the other difference is the don't get up in your face about it like other religions, example door knockers trying there hardest to get you to believe, come on if god wanted us to believe wouldn't he have made us that way.
