The .SQL file is useless without a running database engine that will process the query represented by your .SQL file. Figure out how to open the database - THEN use your .SQL file. Most databases can be accessed with an ODBC driver. If I'm using too many abbreviations for you, you have enough knowledge to be dangerous. Step away from the console.

To open the database on your compuer, try it in NotePad. To put ift on your server, use PhpMyAdmin and use the Import function.
