We help decorate eachother's houses by taking turns to go to a friend's house and paint and decorate a room. The home owner recipient buys all materials of course and has drinks and food and provides a nice lunch for everybody. We play music and socialize as we work. I was thinking more for an all ladies club.

Any suggestions on getting it off the ground. How can I get my friends to go for it? Most of them live in rentals. Should I try to make new friends online or some other way to start my club?

It sounds like fun, but it might be hard to get people to do it. I guess you could just talk to your friends and see what they say. It is something that I would do, but then again I love to decorate my house and would love to help my friends decorate theirs. I hope this works out for you. Good luck!!!

Most people for this club would have to be home owners. Renters are very limited in what they can do. If they have money for it than go for it. Most people don't like other people changing their area without their consent and input, let alone with their own money, so I don't think many people will go for it but you can try. Most people will want to use their own money to do what THEY want to do and have it done their way.

I can't imagine it would work. I don't think I personally would trust other people to do the kind of job and provide the quality I would want.
