appedicitis is inflammation of the appendix, usually caused by infection. the appendix can burst if not removed promptly because as the swelling increases it distresses the tissue surrounding the appendix causing it to weaken and eventaully fail.

inflammation of the appendix can be commonly from plugging of the orifice by fecal material, untreated appendicitis can cause rupture, good luck

no it is when you appendix is infected and you need to get it removed.

Different things can cause it, it just happens....can be inflammation or infection.
