I don't think it's necessarily a turn-off, but a woman who's able and willing to support herself is definitely a plus. Of course, that's not the end all either. If she is a warm, caring and loving person, it would be pretty easy to overlook the fact that she's not working. Hope this is what you were looking for. Good luck and God Bless!

if the question comes up, you should explain why! like u said, family, etc. That person should understand. And hopefully, you want to work again, so you should tell them "when things settle down in my life, I will look for another job."

It depends on what she's doing in her spare time. It sounds like you are spending your time (family, personal) for a noble cause, so that's not a turn off for me. Now, if you were smoking crack and sitting on your butt instead of doing something productive with your time, then that would be different.

Its not fatal but we do use that to evalute you .
Many men feel or percieve themselves to be "ripped off" in one way or the other by women who dont work . Men percieve rightly or wrongly that these women will trap them into fatherhood divorce them and take there livleyhoods.
Thousands of years of evolutionary biology have made humans feel more empathy for women than men .This is a good thing we should feel more empathy for a woman than a man . Men percieve that women take advantage of this and exploit it in this day and age .
Society controls the baser behavoirs of men realy well but doest address the baser behavoiors of women very well.
I dont care how many men you have slept with . I dont care how many women you have slept with . We worry your going to rip us off.
