Most likely because she is afraid her parents will not approve of her dating or dating you.... and who knows what punishment her parents may hand out to her if they disapprove

Maybe the girl is hiding your relationship from her parents.. Not becasue she's ashamed of you or other reason considering you.. It could be that her parents don't want her to be in a relationship at this time.. I also kept my relationship with my BF for about 5 months.. Up until now I didn't tell my parents about our relationship but I know that they knew we're a couple.. Go figure!
There are things which we think we are hiding from our parents but soon, you will be surprised that they knew the things you are hiding.. It all depends on your actions.. Parents base what their childen thinks from their actions..
Regarding your question, ask your GF first why do you have to hide your relationship.. Get a clear explanation first to clear out your anxieties then as much as possible, befriend your GF's parents.. Start conversations with them.. It helps!

She probably has some personal issues for not letting the parents know or it could be relationship oriented, some reasons are:
Shes not ready to be serious and letting the parents know would be a step in that direction
Shes ashamed of the relationship
Shes not sure how the parents would react to you guys going together
She thinks her parents might think you guys are to young for a serious relationship
Shes not sure if you or her are ready for that step yet
There could be plenty of reasons I didnt even list, you might want to sit down with her and see what the problem is and if she is ready to be serious or just playing around.

maybe your girl is not allowed to have any relationships yet..and though that is the case she still fights for you man..
its hard to be in that kind of situation especially if the parents are so strict..but you know..for a guy,,you really have to respect the parents by letting them know that you are in love with your girl and that your gonna take care of her..those sort of things..
but yeah..that is the most likely reason why she doesnt want you tell her parents that you guyz are dating or something..in a relationship..

How old is she? Maybe her parents don't want her dating seriously yet. do they know you? Maybe she knows they wouldn't approve and she doesn't want to go through the grief. Many reasons I guess but, I would ask her and find out. You have the right to know. What's her problem, parents are parents so she might as well tell you and you can deal with it. Right? Right.

ask her. I know that i have had that problem. Right now I havent told my parents I am moving in with a guy even thouh i have the right to do what i want. Stress reasons usually. Don't want to have to hear crap from the parents with everything else going on.

Probably because her parents are totally miserable and will terrorize her if they knew she was dating you. Not that there's anything wrong with you, but they're probably just very judgmental. That's why I won't tell my father about my boyfriend. I love him, I'm not embarrassed of being with him, and I think he's wonderful, but my father is stupid and he would treat me totally different if he knew about our relationship. It's stupid, I know.

there could be alot of answers to that question..you need to ask her and if it bothers you that she won't tell them than you definetly need to say something to her
