You weren't ready for the break-up and she was.
Get your mind off her. If you have hobbies or other interests, get into them. Travel if you can. Find something else you like doing and get your mind off her as completely as you can. Don't date for a while--anybody.
When you stop feeling lost you can start easing back into dating. Problem is you probably haven't dated others very much and don't know where to start, but it will come.
Most important, cultivate other friendships, and not just girls.

I'm sorry to hear that. Just hang in there, and keep yourself busy so that you're not stuck at home ruminating on your heartbreak, because that will make you feel worse. Just concentrate on doing the things that you like to do (even if you don't feel like you enjoy anything right now) and spend time with your other friends and your family. Just give your now-ex time, since she's probably feeling confused right now, and hopefully in a while she will feel comfortable enough to talk to you about what happened, and hopefully in the future you guys will be able to revive your friendship at least.
It's natural that you should feel this way since she's been such a big part of your life for so long. Just hang in there, keep busy, and the hurt will pass in time and you'll feel like your life has meaning again.

The best thing to do is find new friends.. away from the circle of friends that you and your ex was in. Start a fresh and don't hang around those people who will remind you of your pain

Dude! Accept it and give it about two weeks. If you don't accept it, you pain can go on for years.
